Mcnaly biggest thing I got from this book is inspiration to think outside the je and go for the real wow photo instead of being satisfied with good.
He was also kinda crazy. I never even thought to set my white balance to the opposite and compensate with a gelled flash. About The Book Most of the book is comprised of 2 page stories from Joe McNally career that he shares with the readers. It really clicls one of the best, and definitely the most readable, of any photography book I own. Everything about it is super. McNally’s kind of folksy, casual writing may be somewhat off-putting to grammar pedants out there, but he comes at this as if he’s sitting across the table from you, sharing his favorite “war stories” and giving his best advice.
That was obvious when he came to lecture at Syracuse University mmcnally put a glass of milk and a glass of vodka on the lectern.
